The Togo Two-Seater Sofa, designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in 1973, is an iconic piece of furniture that represents the innovative design trends of the late 20th century. Its unique, low-profile silhouette and distinctive, soft forms are characterized by a series of pleats and curves that not only enhance its aesthetic appeal but also contribute to its comfort. The Togo sofa is notable for its use of high-quality foam upholstery, which provides a relaxed seating experience. The design is modular, allowing for versatile arrangement in various living spaces. Over the years, it has become a symbol of modern design and is celebrated for its blend of functionality and style. Its casual yet sophisticated look has made it a popular choice for both residential and commercial settings, ensuring its status as a timeless classic in contemporary furniture design. Michel Ducaroy's work with Ligne Roset continues to influence designers and remains highly regarded in the world of modern furniture. The blue velvet cover on this particular model is worn and has some frayed areas in a few places, showing signs of use. However, this does not detract from the overall comfort and the historical significance of the sofa's design.

By 1936, the company began producing upholstered furniture. Notable among their designs is the Togo line of seating, designed by Michel Ducaroy in 1973, known for its ergonomic design using five densities of foam and quilted covers. Ligne Roset collaborates with contemporary designers and offers a range of products including furniture, decorative accessories, lighting, rugs, and textiles. The company oversees the entire product creation process in-house. A family-run business since its inception, Ligne Roset now operates more than 200 exclusive stores and over 1,000 retail distributors worldwide.
