Gaetano Pesce created La Michetta as a fun conversation between his ideas, skilled artisans' work, and the people who use it. La Michetta is inspired by a simple bread from Milan called michetta, which can look different even when made with the same mold. The pattern of La Michetta moves in different ways, adding a playful touch to the straight wooden frame. The buttons on the surface give it depth and make it look friendly and inviting to sit on. More than just a sofa, La Michetta is a piece that challenges normal furniture ideas. Its uneven shapes and welcoming look make it a nice addition to any home, encouraging relaxation and showing off its unique style. The sofa was made for Meritalia in 2005, creating a system that lets you put together different pieces in different ways, like how michettas can change shape.
