From the 2000s, Magis has been creating the elegantly minimalistic Air-Chair, designed by acclaimed British designer Jasper Morrison. Launched in 2000, the Air-Chair has become a contemporary design classic, recognized for its sleek and stackable form. Morrison's approach to clean and stripped-down designs is evident in this chair, which is made from a combination of polypropylene and glass fiber using an innovative gas injection technique. This method allows for the creation of a hollow monoblock that boasts remarkable strength and versatility, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The Air-Chair has received multiple awards and is showcased in prestigious institutions such as MoMA in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Despite these imperfections, the chairs remain sturdy and fully functional, showcasing the enduring quality, inviting aesthetic, and vibrant colours of the Air-Chair.
