Lajos Kozma (born Lajos Fuchs) (Kiskorpád, Kaposszéplak puszta, June 8, 1884 – Erzsébetváros, Budapest, November 26, 1948) was an architect, applied artist, graphic artist, and university professor. In 1913, he became a teacher at the School of Applied Drawing and founded the Budapest Workshop, which aimed to reform interior design. His furniture designs in the 1920s became known as "Kozma Baroque," and he was awarded the Grand Gold Medal for Applied Arts in 1925 for his furniture, though his style was already leaning towards Art Deco. In 1919, due to financial difficulties, he left the workshop and continued as an independent designer.
