Lievore Altherr Molina/Alberto Lievore (Buenos Aires, 1948) is an architect from the University of Buenos Aires and an industrial designer. In 1977, he established himself in Barcelona and became part of the Berenguer group along with Jorge Pensi, Norberto Chaves, and Oriol Pibernat, with whom he designed the SIDI, a platform for the international launch of Spanish design. This group combines design teaching and theory with practice. During these years, he designed in tandem with Jorge Pensi. In 1984, he founded his own studio, mainly focusing on product design, consulting, and art direction for various companies, including Perobell and Andreu World. During these years, his research led him to experiment with new techniques and materials such as "maderón" (large wood). In 1991, Jeannette Altherr (Heidelberg, Germany, 1965) and Manel Molina (Barcelona, 1963) joined the studio, which then became known as Lievore Altherr Molina. Among their most well-known designs are the Manolete armchair (1988) and the Rothko armchair (1989).
